What is SEOlyze?

SEOlyze is a SaaS platform running since 2012 for SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). It combines keyword research, AI-assisted content creation, a GEO/AI-visibility score, classic rank tracking and a citation watchdog in one tool. The difference from pure measurement tools: SEOlyze doesn't just show where content is weak — it creates and repairs it ready to be cited, from the topic idea to the finished, structured article.

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization: optimizing content to be named and cited as a source in the answers of generative AI search systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews. While classic SEO targets click rankings in the results list, GEO targets appearing inside the AI answer itself. Key GEO signals include direct answers, high fact density, clear citability, structured data (schema), self-contained sections and crawlability for AI bots.

SEOlyze has been developed and operated since 2012, making it one of the long-established SEO tools in the German-speaking market. Over the years the platform has grown from a classic SEO tool into a combined SEO/GEO solution that also covers AI search as a new visibility channel.

SEOlyze is for anyone who wants to be found in Google and in AI search. This includes businesses and solo professionals who want their website to stay visible long-term, SEO and content teams who create and optimize content efficiently, and agencies that manage several projects and clients in parallel using team features with roles and permissions.

SEOlyze offers tiered plans: Starter from 79 €/month for single pages and small projects, Pro from 149 €/month for regular content creation incl. advanced GEO features, and Agency from 299 €/month for teams with many projects and higher limits. All plans are available monthly or as a cheaper annual subscription. A free trial without a credit card is available.

At launch SEOlyze rates visibility in Google AI Overviews live. Coverage of ChatGPT and Perplexity is being added. Regardless of the individual system, the GEO score evaluates the fundamental signals generative AI systems use to pick their sources — exactly the properties that make a page citable across all AI searches.

SEOlyze hosting and data processing take place in the EU. Processing is therefore subject to European data protection requirements under the GDPR. For companies in the EU this means a legally sound basis without data transfer to third countries.

Most tools only measure — they show that a page doesn't rank or isn't cited, but leave the implementation to the user.
